My latest column is out. It reads a bit like one of those old Country Time Lemonade ads (that's a dated reference, isn't it?), but I suppose that's the perfect thing to go with one's breakfast. Please forward it along to all your friends, relatives and elected representatives.

Boy you've got it tough. Where is your Pay Pal button? You obviously need help.
You're right about the Country Time Lemonade commercial. I must say it's been a good summer here as well, spending plenty of time outside. I can't complain much.
Oh no, is summer over? I missed it!
I learned to drive in a Spord Nesort. They really are pants.
Chris has a new column! Chris has a new column!
Though I am not sure if I should read it now. I don't want to be like those people who read the new Harry Potter book in one day and now won't have a new Harry Potter book to read for at least two years.
I remember the municipal baths, open air, with a chlorine fountain at one end and a mangle for the used swimming costumes. No glass allowed, but you could bring in your own food for a picnic, although I preferred to have pocket money for the little shop - never had enough for an ice lolly, but with British summers and the water at 60 degrees Fahrenheit (15.5 celsius), hot chocolate and Horlicks were always on sale.
I always dive with my eyes open too. I mean you have to know where you are heading and what you might want to or do not want to bump into. One time, I was swimming in the rain in Florida when all of a sudden a bunch of frogs joined me in the pool. I got out as quick as I could. I didn't want to bump into them!!!
