Don't forget the ice cream tent

An addendum to my piss-and-moan post from Sunday: although my Welsh isn't good enough to compete for Welsh Learner of the Year, it apparently is good enough that they have asked me if I would consider leading a discussion on learning Welsh overseas.

I'm inclined to say yes, but I'm not really sure what I would talk about: "Uhm, it's really tedious and people think you're a bit weird. The end. Enjoy your day at Eisteddfod, everybody!"

Will they pay you? In real money you can use for your college fees, not wooden items. Then it'd be worth it.

Also: a bit wierd?

I doubt very much that they would pay me. If I'm lucky, they won't charge me admission on that day.

Totally unrelated to your post, but I just read your comment about the flag waving and the weather over at curly's, and I haven't laughed so hard in ages....

You could start with 'Anyone here from out of town? Hey, ME!'

even if they didn't pay you it would be good experiance (and a good thing to say next tinme you try for welsh learner). Also welsh is different (as opposed to french or spanish etc) and um...why not?!!!
