Uhm, what exactly is this BBC weather graphic supposed to mean? "Tomorrow's weather: Partly sunny with occasional angry retribution from The Lord Our God. High of 22, with a Smite Index of 5. So a good day for a picnic, unless you've sinned recently, in which case you'll want to cover up."

Chris, it just explains what the weather will be like if Paul is thinking about going waterskiing; bright and sunny with a few clouds if he can't go, and thunderstorms and lightning as soon as he's in the middle of the lake.
That's just the BBC weather team just going out last night and unable to actually check what the weather might be, they just whack that up.
Did the think tank behind the olympics logo come up with this one too?
i had no idea the Brits were such keen graphic artists!!
I think 'Smite Index' belongs in your 'band name' site...
It's perfect for a post-apocalyptic 'Christian' metal-band. Come ON!

sinned...recently?
WTF?
That's awesome. I hope that graphic artist got paid handsomely.
Come on, everyone, this is the archetypal UK weather symbol:
'Glorious sunshine when you skip from the house in Converse shoes and a skimpy t-shirt, followed two hours later by an almighty thunderstorm that will dampen your ardour and ruin your hair. Tomorrow: Hail.'
