It is isn't it? You feel so bad for that poor bear, but at the same time you can't help but laugh. As I said to Annie, I often feel like that bear. You know: all I wanted was candy and now I've got my head in a damn plastic jar and it's only a matter of time before someone shoots me.
Love the blog...you find the funniest things. Poor bear just wanted some treats. I'm confused about the officials though...they couldn't tranquilize him because he kept to forested areas, but they could shot & kill him?
You know, as odd as it sounds, it's much better that the bear was shot than hurting somebody. I don't say this because I necessarily feel more empathy for people over bears, but if the bear had cause an injury or worse, then it would just strengthen some people's fear of wildlife. Maybe this way the little guy's death can raise some eyebrows and awareness of human's encroachment on wild space.

Poor dear Jar-Jar... That is the saddest-funniest story I've read today. Or was it funniest-saddest?
