That's why sex-ed classes are important

The other day an old friend of mine told me that she and her husband were "trying for a baby." That phrasing amuses me. It makes it sound as if they haven't quite mastered the technique.

"We're trying for a baby, but Dave keeps falling off."

Too funny. I've always mis-interpreted that phrase too. What are you trying? and for whose baby?

I always think it's like "We're trying for a baby ... but we keep getting a butternut squash."
