Depends on your perspective

I love British dentists. Because they always tell me my teeth are fine. Crooked, but fine.

It makes me wonder about the thousands of dollars spent on dentistry when I lived in the United States. Perhaps all that work is the reason my teeth are fine. Perhaps the U.S. dentists were lying to me for the sake of profit. Perhaps British dentists are lazy.

I don't know. I don't care. Today I was told I've no problems with my teeth; that's all that matters to me.

Ha! NHS dentistry is all about making sure your teeth are healthy rather than pretty, because it's supported a finite pot that comes from taxes. If you go to a private dentist in Britain, they'll take massive pleasure in recommending all kinds of crazy treatments!

North American dentists usually drive nice cars. Before the day starts they look out their window to their car and plan how the day will go based on what upgrades they wish to make to said car.

If you had been in the UK you would have either spent the same amount of money keeping your teeth in good condition or you'd have had the NHS pulling your teeth out every time you got toothache (and they don't replace them).
